Ms. Johnson is a Certified Business Intermediary as designated by the International Business Brokers Association. She is the owner of Sunbelt Business Brokers of Austin, Inc. Launched in November 1998, the Austin Sunbelt office has become one of the leading brokerage firms in Central Texas. Ms. Johnson has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, both as an award-winning sales professional for three Fortune 100 companies and as co-owner of a Austin-based telecommunications equipment company.
Ms. Johnson has experience representing companies with revenue up to $23,000,000. She has consulted on hundreds of deals, and her expertise spans a broad range of industries and deal complexities. Ms. Johnson also facilitates negotiation development programs for a handful of large corporate clients, both in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Johnson has served as the President of the Austin chapter of the Texas Association of Business Brokers. She has two grown sons and one at home, and lives in Austin.

Tamara brings experience in the corporate world and private business to her work with Sunbelt. As a senior manager for two large event venues in the Austin area, she negotiated contracts and managed all of the events, and grew the enterprises to markets in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. She has been an award-winning sales professional for a national developer/builder, working with buyers and sellers. Her experience as co-owner and operator of a local service company allows her to identify with small business owners’ challenges in the day-to-day operations and their drive to be successful. She purchased the business through Sunbelt Austin and appreciated the professionalism and seamless process when working with the Sunbelt team. Now part of that team, her attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong negotiation skills allow her to be successful for selling companies of all sizes and assisting buyers to recognize a good fit for their dream of owning a small business. Jim Pringle is an experienced business owner and serial entrepreneur with over twenty years of experience buying, growing and selling companies in the Austin area. An Austin native, Jim grew up as part of a family-owned, home building and real estate development business, and he has carried on his entrepreneurial heritage throughout his career as a business owner and consultant. He has launched and operated businesses in the home building/construction sector, manufacturing and wholesale distribution, multi-location franchise stores and business consulting. With over seven years’ experience as a business intermediary and advisor, and hands-on involvement in selling his own companies to strategic buyers, Jim brings broad expertise and a track record of successful transactions to his work with sellers and buyers.
Jeff Rabkin brings over 35 years of business administration and management skills to the Sunbelt team. After college, Mr. Rabkin joined a multi-million dollar corporation. As Vice President, he was responsible for sales, advertising, and launching of the largest trade show of its kind in that market. In 1987 Mr. Rabkin moved to Austin, and from that period to now he has bought, operated, and sold several local businesses. His diverse business experience includes industries such as commercial printing, office supplies, wholesale automotive products, water purification, advertising specialties, and signage. Mike has over 40 years of successful business ownership. Upon graduating from college and serving as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers, he joined IBM Corporation. After three years of corporate life, his entrepreneurial spirit prevailed and he embarked on the exciting, rewarding (sometimes terrifying) life of the small business owner. Since then, he has owned and operated seven businesses including retail, securities broker/dealer, general contracting, healthcare (medical product R and D), and various forms of real estate. Additionally, Mike co-developed 27 acres in Westlake upon moving his family to Austin from the Pacific Northwest in 1990. As owner, CEO, COO, and CFO of these companies, Mike has the hard earned knowledge, experience and understanding of all aspects of small to medium sized enterprises. He has first-hand experience in the complex and sometimes emotional process of successfully buying and selling a business. Mike brings patience in solving problems and creativity in structuring deals, along with a diverse background and business experience that give him keen insight into the issues buyers and sellers face in a business sale.
