George C. Poore is President of Sunbelt Business Ventures, LLC and has over 15 years of experience providing financial and strategic management advisory services to small and mid-sized privately held companies. As President, he is responsible for and directs all the firms activities. Mr. Poore has significant experience in and has assisted both individuals and firms in acquisitions and sales of businesses, business interests, corporate finance and planning, (re-)financing and in providing business valuations. He has also served as strategic business advisor to numerous companies seeking to enhance their shareholder value. These engagements have resulted in the development and implementation of new or revised financial and/or operating strategies for both healthy as well as financially-troubled businesses. He has represented many buyers and sellers in all aspects of the acquisition / sales process. Prior to founding Sunbelt Business Ventures, LLC he provided strategic planning, profitability enhancement and other management advisory services for such well known accounting and management consulting firms as Accenture, Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse. Most recently, Mr. Poore has been involved in a variety of high-tech start-ups. Mr. Poore has an MBA (Finance) from Drexel University (1984) and a BS (Industrial Engineering) from The Pennsylvania State University (1981). He has also completed various continuing education courses (strategy, corporate finance, SVA, etc.) while at Accenture, Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse.
